I was shocked to see Auratum featured as a DD on monday.

Auratum

Auratum by *trystianity is amazingly intricate. The vivid bright colors draw you in, and the details keep your hanging on. (Suggested by =Synthetamine and Featured by ^cosmosue)

I've had three other works on this account featured as DDs and one on my stock account so this makes five total for me.  When I first joined dA I honestly thought I would never even get one.  I still can't believe it when I log in to a ton of messages I wasn't expecting, this being my fifth probably makes it even more surprising.

I can't thank everyone enough.  This is my first non-fractal DD and now also the first time I've ever had over 1000 favs on any of my works.  I normally at least visit everyone who favs my work but I don't think that will be possible so I'll just have to say that I really appreciate everyone who liked it enough to click that button.  I will get around to my new watchers (you guys are rockstars!) and say hello. :)

This made my week.  I've been a little irritated because I've been on a bland, soft diet and clear liquids only for 2 weeks now to try and stop some annoying gallbladder attacks.  They hurt like a complete bitch and if you've ever had one you'll know exactly what I mean. So I'm sick of apple juice etc. but if I eat normal foods I regret it pretty quickly. :dead:  I would really appreciate any recipes or ideas if anyone else has ever had to do this and has them. It looks like I'm going to have to have it taken out but I'm not liking the idea of more mashed potatoes and rice until that happens. :hmm:

Yay for you! :w00t:

I saw how many favs you've got so far and I'm really happy for you. It's an interesting piece and well-deserving of the DD.

Sorry about your gall bladder. I had problems a few years ago and know the pain. Not fun. Mine just stopped working for some reason (not gall stones, so no recipes) and they took it out...worked out great for me. The recovery time isn't much if you get a laparoscopic removal.

Again, big congrats on the DD! :blowkiss:

thanks!

actually I don't have any stones either, none showed up in my ultrasound. I lost a lot of weight recently (over 60 lbs) over a short time and my doctor said it can cause gallbladder problems and that it's probably just not working properly. He wanted me to try the bland diet and give it a rest for a few weeks before I see a surgeon. It's still bothering me if I eat anything that's not totally boring so I think I just want it to be gone now. :lmao: Everyone says the surgery isn't bad.

As far as surgeries go, it's one of the easiest and least painful in terms of recovery. I've had ten different surgeries...so far...and know the difference. Unfortunately.

Has your doc suggested a HIDA scan? [link]
It may be able to pinpoint some problem unseen by an ultrasound.

Whatever happens, good luck!
