Not Dead Yet

Uh yeah, summer.  Fun times at the beach and dA seems to still be kind of broken.  What the hell.  I'm not sure if I'll be uploading anything here until the site gets sorted a bit.

My computer was also broken for a while.  My old POS power supply died so I had to get a new one, but the one I got is about 10x better so it's kind of a good thing.  It just kept me away from any artwork for a while while I saved some money...  The fan on the old one stopped so I couldn't risk doing much without being afraid of starting a fire or some disaster and the PSU wasn't even good enough to warrant opening it up to try to fix the fan.    The guy at the computer store seemed to doubt my ability (a girl! imagine that! :omg:) to properly replace my own power supply without breaking something else, or even be sure that's what I needed to do. :lmao:  I did manage to fix it though, and install a new wireless card while I was at it.

I'm still alive, kind of tired (too much time at the beach, wears me out)....

If anyone is still watching, what can I do for you people? Any requests, questions, whatever?

I could break a nail or something. :)

Thanks, the beach was lots of fun. I'm probably going back again this weekend for some parties and fires on the beach. I just hope it's warm and not rainy.

Good to see you back! :D

I butted in on a conversation at work recently where a guy with not a single clue about networking home PCs was asking a guy with not a lot of clue about how to do it. I knew the answer to his question, so I told him. I got that quizzical, raised eyebrows and patronising look that only young men can gve midde-aged women who dare to consider they know anything about IT.
Three days later I overheard another conversation - he was still having problems - which included the phrase "Do you think she could possibly be right? Should I try what she said?"

Thank you. :)

They give the same look to young women, it just makes you want to slap them doesn't it? Boys. They are so cute and cuddly though.

Hahahaha, and when they get to be middle aged men, they're still 13 year old boys at heart ;)
