TRANSCEND - Go beyond limitations.
Thanks for all the love everyone. I sort of revisited an old mixed media experiment that I wasn't too happy with, started over with some new skills... Fractal flames, my own photos from my backyard & some fractal brushes I made; one texture from sxc.hu. Main flame is made up of I think 12 xforms -- I went a little overboard on the details I guess. Critique always appreciated. The print doesn't have the annoying watermarks on it. Comments
It looks very relaxing, and as if it would do really well as a very large print on a wall. Every time I'd look at it, I'd see some new details.
Your color choices are fantastic. This reminds me of those sun-stars-moon blankets or paintings where the sky goes from blue to purple. But it's all fractal and your own art. Even the negative space at the bottom doesn't quite feel like negative space as you've put some interesting details to keep the viewer from getting bored. I wish I had the massive wallspace (and funds) to buy this becuase I could see it looking so very good in a future living room of mine. -- _______ Member of #Aposhack Years are like fractals. The more you've seen of them, the more you appreciate the details of each one, rather than how many you've seen. Thanks! Yeah, I hate art thievery.
Sort of off topic but is it just me or is browsing by category broken? -- "Dwelling hurts the soul." ~trystian-stock =Ultra-Fractal Thank you, that is a great compliment. One of the photos I used is actually a pic I took of the sky at dawn on a very cold morning from my backyard, it was like that - fading from blue except instead of purple it's shocking pink! So I used it to set some of the background colours. I wish I had infinite wall space (and funds too, of course

Oh, so beautiful! I really like how the textures and backgrounds go with the fractal, how well they blend. Overall the picture seems to be a snowflake falling in the night, but look closer and the snowflake is made of wings!
